Shreveport-Bossier children enjoyed a festive treat this morning. To kick off our annual toy and donation drive Operation Santa Claus, the jolly elf himself dropped by Townsquare Media Shreveport-Bossier's offices.

Santa left his magical sled and reindeer back in the North Pole and opted for some unconventional transportation: a Shreveport Fire Department truck. To say the gathered kids were happy would be an understatement; they jumped up in joy, hugged Santa and shouted their Christmas wishes aloud.

All donations for Operation Santa Claus are now being accepted at several locations throughout Shreveport-Bossier. Additionally, those folks in the giving mood can drop off toys at one of our special Operation Santa Claus remote broadcasts. The first one is Tuesday, November 27 at the CVS on Youree and Southfield.

The final day for donations is December 14, so don't delay in helping to make a child's Christmas special.
