Scarlett Johansson covers the May 2014 issue of Glamour in a crimson, metallic jumpsuit that matches her name. In her feature, the newly-engaged sexpot talks life in Paris.

But first, about that jumpsuit. It’s loose-fitting and by Lanvin. The actress is largely covered up, her most famous assets tucked away and hidden from view. This is Scar Jo Version 3.0, one that isn’t relying on her voluptuousness.

In her feature, Johansson spoke about her view on romantic relationships. After divorcing husband Ryan Reynolds, she is wiser and more aware of what she needs and wants, and how to get that across and relay it to her partner.

“I think I know myself better,” the star mused. “I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship. And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself. That’s not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life.”

Let’s be clear. She’s not dissing Reynolds, who is now married to Blake Lively. Got it?

Okay, good.

Johansson continued, “When I was first married, I was much younger. And I have had the opportunity now to work more on getting to know myself. I think that makes you a better partner and somebody who is able to work with somebody and stay in a relationship in the not-romantic moments. I have more patience with myself. I have more patience with my partner. I think that just comes with age, probably.”

She’s so zen!

But Johansson is not super focused on her wedding plans, as she is now engaged to Romain Dauriac.

“We’re just going with the flow,” she said. “I’ve never been one to do a full-on themed wedding. I don’t care about that stuff.”

Johansson, who lives in Paris for the most part, spoke about how she and her fiance spend their lazy days in the City of Light.

“Well, he loves art, so we might visit some of the galleries or go to a museum,” she said. “That’s his true passion. I like to experience that with him. I guess part of the wonderful thing about living in Paris is how people take their time with things. And I like to feel no pressure on the weekends in Paris. Sunday, most things are closed in Paris, and there’s something wonderful about that. So I’m much more comfortable just spending the weekend in my bed.”

Since Paris is the world’s fashion capital, Johansson has had to forego function for form!

“Because I have more competition,” she said about it has changed her personal style. “The nice thing about being in Paris is that you know everybody’s looking at what you’re wearing: You have an audience, you know? New York is about street style that’s functional. A Paris look is not functional! It doesn’t matter if your shoes are comfortable. Here [in New York], you can still wear your Nikes. In Paris, you suck it up. You hobble around.”

Fashion must suffer.
