Shreveporter Cara Watson has made it past the group rounds at "American Idol".

The Caddo Magnet High graduate now moves to the individual competition. She's among 50 contestants vying for the title. Watson has been singing since she was a youngster and performed in several school plays at her high school. She was also a key performer at the Academy of Children's Theatre. Last year, she performed the lead role in "Fame" for the group. During that performance, we got a chance to meet her and listen to her incredible voice when she stopped by our studios.
