Summer destination vacations are the best! Heading to a new city for a few days to mix in with other tourists and the locals is fun and it's always interesting to see the makeup of America.

No matter where you go, you'll compare your city to the city you're visiting and of course you're gonna find a couple of weird, strange or funny things along the way.

A few weeks ago my family took a vacation to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., where we had a great time, all except for the weather and a little accident.

We were looking to escape the heat of East Texas. Well that didn't happen but we still had fun until my wife got injured on an alpine slide ride. When we got back into town we had to pick up some medical supplies from the Walgreens down the road from the cabin. Here in this Walgreens was one of my funny and strange sightings while on vacation.

Sitting right next to the registers on the counter was the newspaper-like edition of 'Just Busted' on sale for $1! I started laughing inside and thought, "Is this for real?" I asked the clerk, "Is this from the police department?"

She replied by saying, "No. It's 'Just Busted'. Why? Don't have this in your town, too?"

I came back with, "No. I'm on vacation so I'm not from Tennessee. I think this is pretty funny, you can buy a newspaper with nothing but criminals in it!"

The clerk then said, "Sure can. It's unbelievable how many of those things we sell. We're usually out of them. People are always looking to see if they're in there or to see if their friends had been picked up by the law."

This totally blew my mind. People buy this to see if they've made it in the newspaper? Really? I'd think if you've been busted and arrested for something you'd be shown in this thing and already know it because you'd most likely spent a little time in jail!

It's just one of the strangest things I've seen while on vacation. I know we have the crime stoppers report on the TV station and busted report, but paying for a copy of the mug shots in a newspaper I'll pass on!

Let me know the wildest or strangest thing you've seen while on a recent vacation by telling me what you saw in the comment section below.
