Shreveport is now one of Louisiana’s largest and most popular Cajun festivals, featuring renown Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Jazz artists, mouth-watering Cajun cuisine, raucous contests, and fun for all ages.

One of my favorite festivals of all time is coming up this weekend...the 29th Annual Mudbug Madness! It all kicks off Thursday and runs through Sunday at Festival Plaza in Downtown Shreveport.

Here comes summer! That’s right, the un-official start of summer is upon us as we cruise into Memorial Day weekend. Before we get too excited about a three day weekend, let’s not forget to take some time to recognize the Holiday itself and to observe the men and women who have given their lives in the armed services. Now, onto my top five things to do this Memorial Day around Shreveport-Bossier! R
