Adorable Toddler Talks Giving Her Sister the Worst Haircut Ever

WNPR

When NPR radio reporter Jeff Cohen’s 5-year-old daughter Sadie gave her 3-year-old sister Eva a very unauthorized haircut, he obviously wasn’t too pleased. But it didn’t take long for him to realize that Eva’s new asymmetrical do (pictured left) was actually pretty funny and that the story of how the haircut came to be was downright adorable.

So Cohen put on his reporter’s hat and interviewed his daughters on the incident.

Sadie provided quite the ‘Kids Say the Darndest Things’ moment when daddy asked what was the rationale behind the haircut.

“If she grew it any any longer, when she wiped her butt, her hair would like go into the toilet. And it would be gross,” Sadie explained.

Eva then confirmed that her flowing tresses were becoming a nuisance. “It was really itching my hips,” she said of her Rapunzel-like hair.

We’re not sure if making his daughters into internet stars, as the audio recording is beginning to do, will teach them much of lesson about not playing with scissors. But it will certainly be something the Cohen family can laugh about for years to come.

Listen to what went down, straight from the mouths of babes.
