The cleanup will continue across the Arklatex today from the overnight storms. One of the hardest hit areas has been Lindale, Texas where damage is reported across the town. Here is video of a sporting goods store destroyed by a tornado:

Smith County in Northeast Texas has issued a disaster declaration because of the damage caused by the storms. There have been reports of some minor injuries.

Deputies have been searching homes where some people might be trapped by downed trees. Several roadways are blocked by fallen trees..

Fire Chief Jerry Garner tells KLTV residents should stay indoor and off roads unless absolutely necessary.

He adds that the heaviest damage was to the Dollar Tree and Hibbit Sports on South Street.

Lindale Texas has been the hardest hit so far. Many trees are down and several roads are blocked.

Severe storms are moving quickly through the Arklatex. Much of the region is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 5am.

Caddo, Bossier, Claiborne, Bienville, Union, Webster, Lincoln and Ouachita Parishes in Northwest Louisiana are included in this watch.

In Texas, the watch includes Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Panola, Red River, Rusk, Smith, Titus, Upshur and Wood Counties.

In Southwest Arkansas, this watch includes Columbia, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Miller, Nevada and Sevier Counties.

If you live in these areas, you should keep an eye on the weather.

Damage has already been reported in Lindale, Texas and other parts of Upshur County in Texas.
