When I was a kid my science fair projects usually involved a solar system model made out of Styrofoam balls or the workings of tectonic plates with Karo Syrup and a hot plate.  That wouldn't win a participation ribbon at a prestigious event like the Google Science Fair though.

Brittany Wenger of Florida won with her breast cancer detection computer program that she spent 600 hours developing. I spent less than 600 minutes on my science fair projects, so that explains why I'm in radio and not winning major awards at just 17.

What could the future hold with someone as bright as Brittany Wenger? Maybe even a world without cancer as her non-invasive computer program is about 99.11% effective in the diagnoses of  of breast cancer.
