Debbie Gibson Dispenses Advice for Teen Stars
Debbie Gibson knows a little about being a teenage star. She, along with Tiffany, reigned during the late 1980's.
And, by 1987, she was pronounced the youngest artist to write, produce, and sing a number one song.
So Gibson is now giving some advise out to today's young stars.
She's started a new video series on her webpage called "What Would Debbie Do?"
Some pearls of wisdom include:
To Justin Bieber: “What are you doing vacationing on a yacht with your girlfriend when [you're] 17 or 18 years old, anyway?”
To Miley Cyrus: “Don’t be in a hurry to grow up. Honestly, there’s a gazillion years to be an adult. I was hanging onto my childhood for dear life. I was wearing high top sneakers with my dresses, I was like, ‘Ya know what? There’s gonna be plenty of years to wear high heels.’”
To Selena Gomez: “The more private you can keep your personal life the better.”
To her credit, most of what she says are things most of us already thought, right?
