(Fox 46 Charlotte) Darlene Blackwell,  mother and grandmother, was healthy and a "feisty" woman, according to her daughter Allyson Hendrix. Blackwell took the Johnson and Johnson COVID 19 vaccine on March 30, two days later she was on her bathroom floor unresponsive.

Hendrix told Fox 46 that her mother was a good mom but an even better grandmother. She would help anybody if she could. A person that would give you the shirt off her back.

Darlene had decided to take the Johnson and Johnson vaccine as it was convenient.

She was like, I'll go do that, it's easier. I don't have to do that, you know, two trips.-Darlene Blackwell to Fox 46

Blackwell got sick two days later in her bathroom after shopping. That was the last time the family saw her conscious.

Everything was fine, she went shopping with my grandma. They came home, she got sick, she started feeling nauseous. She got sick in the bathroom. My grandma went back there to check on her and she wouldn't answer. She had to open the door with a screwdriver and she found her on the floor unresponsive.-Darlene Blackwell to Fox 46

The unresponsive woman was taken to a local hospital where she was diagnosed with a major brain aneurysm. So big, doctors thought it was two.

It was so massive at first that they thought it was actually two aneurysms, but it was only one, It was just so big.-Darlene Blackwell to Fox 46

After speaking with doctors, Blackwell's family ended life support on April 9.
