Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival..Yum..Yum!

KVKI invites you to enjoy some of the best food in the world at this weekend's Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival in beautiful downtown Natchitoches.

It started yesterday and continues today. Grab a lotta hotta meat pies and more! It's the 9th Annual Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival AND River Run at the downtown river bank along the historic Cane River.

This "best little town in the whole USA" (according to Oprah Winfrey) was the backdrop for the popular movie, Steel Magnolias." The movie starred actresses, Shirley MacLaine, Julia Roberts, and Olympia Dukakis.

Admission is free to all events. Today, it begins at 10 am and continues until 11 pm. The ride starts at noon, and there will be special entertainment hot off Bourbon Street in New Orleans, "Chucky C and the Clearly Blue Band."
