A Marine Waits For The Brother That Saved His Life

Veteran Matt Foster had a very special bond with one of his Marine brothers, and now that brother has come home. The beautiful reunion is just the start of this story!

Matt Foster, United States Marine Corps Veteran, returned home from a tour in Afghanistan and was missing one very important thing...his best friend.

Mick, a seven-year-old Labrador Retriever, and Matt were inseparable in Afghanistan. They slept together, ate together and patrolled together. This brave dog served four tours in Afghanistan and is one of hundreds of K9s that devote their lives to protecting our soldiers in times of conflict.

When Matt arrived back home he immediately put in a request to adopt Mick and, with the help of the American Humane Association and Mission K9 Rescue, a year later the two best friends were back in each other’s arms.
