My son is now in the homestretch of his Marine basic training at Parris Island, South Carolina. He sends thanks to all of my friends and listeners who have kept him in your prayers these past couple of months.

In the latest letter from JW, he tells me he has so much to share with me when he gets home....."I have so much to share, but so little time. 10 days won't be enough." He's ready to come home, but we all know he will ship out again in less than 2 weeks. I won't be able to hug him enough. He shared some of his experiences with me. "We went on a 10 mile hike today. It sucked." Please keep him in your prayers and know it helps. "Mom, tomorrow we have church which is what I live by here. Sunday to Sunday." I am so proud of him. He finishes the letter today with this: "I can already notice myself changing into a Marine. You can see it in all the guys....the way we walk and talk."  "Oh, I've got so much to tell you about how I'm surviving and how I will continue to survive."

I am so proud of him and can not wait to see him and give him a Momma hug. I think I might even get a full 2-armed hug this time!
