Oscar winning actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman died last week at the age of 46. He won an Academy Award for Best Actor (Capote), received three other Oscar nominations, as well as Tony nominations for his work on Broadway. But my favorite Hoffman role was as the full of himself disc jockey, The Count, in the 2009 cult hit, "Pirate Radio". It's the story about a band of renegade deejays who broadcast from a ship off the coast of England, just beyond the control of the British government...playing all the music that that country's version of the FCC wants to ban.
