Saving Denim Movement Comes to Shreveport
Instead of save the whales, try save the denim! The Liberty Challenge is a movement to save one of the last denim factories in the United States.
It’s located in South Carolina, and advocate Liz Havlin stopped by KEEL studios to get some publicity for the cause.
Havlin says denim, which is America’s fabric, is being outsourced overseas, much the same way cars are outsourced. She says you can join a petition drive to keep producing denim in the U. S., by going online.
Liberty Denim is one of the last four denim factories in America. It’s located in Liberty, S.C.
