Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover Says “No” to Dog Park Again

Expect the fur to fly now that Mayor Cedric Glover says he will not change his mind about the dog park plan. The Red River Waterway Commission has approved $280,000 dollars for the park to be built at the Hamel Memorial Park along the riverbank. Cynthia Keith with the Dog Park Alliance is disappointed and her group is planning to take legal action Keith says "he was elected to faithfully and impartially execute his duties and that includes signing documents." The Mayor continues to maintain that the city has other higher priorities on the riverfront. Keith adds: "If he says no, we will file a lawsuit by the end of the week".
