The New Dad Blog Of The Day

Over the weekend my wife woke up before me (a rarity) and when I woke up to see her she was smiling. What she said next made me smile and get excited, because I feel the same way.

She said, "I can't wait to hold our baby." It made me tear up a bit. I can't wait for that either. My wife has been carrying our daughter and will have done so for 9 months, when she arrives.

Those words made me think, when she is born that she and I will actually meet for the first time. It is something a bit surreal. All the fears and curiosities that I have about her will be answered.
