You've heard of a "elevator pitch", right? It's the idea that if you were ever in an elevator with someone who could make your dreams come true, you would have just two minutes to pitch yourself to them. We're encouraged in the world of business to have this ready in case we ever do come across a power player like that.

Students at Bossier Parish Community College have the chance to craft that pitch and then use it in the hopes of winning cash prizes.

The Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program (EAP) is hosting a 2-Minute Drill for BPCC students during the inaugural Air Show Innovation Showcase. Students will present their business ideas to a panel of judges. Each student will be required to cover a variety of topics; introduction, problem, solution, target customer, why their idea/solution is better than what's current, and source of revenue. They'll have just two minutes to win over the panel comprised of Barksdale Air Force Base officials, BPCC officials, and the EAP staff.

I'm sweating just thinking about it.

There will be one winner who will receive $500. All participants will receive a $25 gift card to use at the BPCC bookstore. Registration is currently open until Friday, May 10. Students who are interested can register here.
