Thanksgiving is about being grateful for what we have and sharing with others. And it seems that the police in Fort Worth, Texas took 'giving to others' to a new level.

We've all seen police departments do stuff like this, but I don't think I've seen a Thanksgiving version.

Last week, a bunch of people were pulled over for minor traffic violations (no seatbelt, not using a blinker, etc.) and instead of the police giving them tickets, the violators were given Thanksgiving turkeys. According to KHOU, one of the officers said:

“Even though we do enforce traffic law and we do have some unpleasant decisions to make, we still are about the people”.

The officers seemed to enjoy what they were doing and one driver even said:

“I’m pleased to see it, because there’s so much hate in this country right now, to see brotherly love, it’s very, very inspiring.”

What a neat way to show love during the holiday season. For more information, click HERE.
