The original Baldknobbers from Branson, Mo., will be in concert presented by sister station, AM 1130, KWKH Friday at the historic Strand Theatre in downtown Shreveport. But you can meet one of the original cast members today.

This morning, I talked with Bob Leftridge, who is the emcee for the show as well as a singer and guitar player. In fact Bob told me he played on the original Louisiana Hayride at the Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport from the same stage as Elvis, Hank Williams, Johnny Horton, and other greats in the late 60s.

He says, if you want to laugh, then you're going to want to see the Baldknobbers performance Friday. Not only will you laugh so hard it hurts at the comedy sketches, you'll hear a variety of music from classic country to hot new country from some of the best singers and musicians in the music business.

The Baldknobbers literally are Branson. In fact, they put Branson on the map in the beginning, building Branson as a country music haven and tourist attraction.

For tickets to Friday's show, go to the Strand Theatre dot com, or call 318-226-8555. Tickets are reduced and are actually cheaper than you would pay to see the Baldknobbers in Branson. We're bringing Branson in all of its glory via the Baldknobbers to you!
