Though we in Shreveport-Bossier like to think every day is Mardi Gras, in reality the end of the 2013 Mardi Gras season falls on one specific day that changes every year.

In 2013, Fat Tuesday falls on February 12. That leaves Shreveport and Bossier City with one more week full of fun, festivities and some of the best parades out there.

Last Saturday, the Krewe of Centaur showed off their amazing floats in a Mardi Gras parade to remember. This weekend, the Krewe of Gemini will roll through the area. Gemini's parade will launch at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 9. The following day, The Krewe of Highland will roll through town.

On Fat Tuesday, the Krewe of Aesclepius' Children's Parade will help wrap up the year's Mardi Gras activities.
